Dear Sir Or Madam,

I have been an avid Planters Peanuts eater for a great deal of years. In all that time, I don't believe I have ever really paid that much attention to the Peanut Man (in his shell) that is used for your company logo. The other week, I came to full awareness of this little man.

First of all, I would like to say that it is one of the more pleasurable logos I have ever seen. His appearance is both comical and interesting. I work in a mobility assistance store and was most intrigued by the cane that the Peanut Man holds by his side. What make of cane is it? A colleague of mine at work has speculated that it is an early Irish Sounter Cane, whereas I believe it to be an Italian Fronto with a curl top (which would make sense since the founder of your company was an Italian Immigrant).

Our debate over the cane has reached the point where we refuse to talk to each other. Although this problem may seem petty unto it's own, and nothing one should squabble about, I feel that any information you can give us about the make of the cane will help to bridge the now-existing gap in our friend/co-workman-ship. I can't stand looking at his face knowing that he is entirely wrong and unwilling to admit it.

I appreciate the time you have taken to read this letter. I would have sent an email, but I feel that they lack the personal touch that a hand-typed letter can provide!

Sincerely Yours,
NAME USED
F.P.A. Flint Mobility

ps. Is the use of a monocle on the Peanut Man supposed to symbolize anything? My associate claims it symbolizes Planter's 'sophisticated taste', whereas I feel you would not have put that much importance into your logo.
