Dear TGIFridays:

Let me start off by saying I love your restaurant. I eat there at least twice a week. Delicious food… delicious.
And, if I’m not eating there, I stop in for a drink or two (sometimes three) with clients; which actually brings me to why I am writing this letter today.

I was in there last week, on Wednesday, and I admittedly got quite drunk. Some friends and I were celebrating the results of a South Korean soccer game. At our table was an advertisement with a slogan of yours, something to the extent of “At TGI’s, everyday is Friday”.

I guess the combination of drinks, and advertising visual eventually led me to believe it was Friday. This, of course, resulted in my absence from work the next day. Needless to say, my boss was not pleased. When I attempted to explain the situation to him, he dismissed it as being “a bunch of Hogwash”. Although, he was speaking in Korean, so it was a much harsher word.

Could you please write back to me and verify that you do have a slogan to the effect of “everyday is Friday at TGIFridays”? If I have concrete proof, then he will know it isn’t Hogwash.
Also, I want to make sure this is not being seen as a complaint. Although, I would like suggest that maybe under the slogan, in smaller print, you put (Most likely it is not actually Friday. A 1/7 chance. Consult a calendar to verify.)
Anyways, please write back to me as soon as possible as there is certainly tension at work. You can reply in Korean and I will just show my boss the letter.

In anticipation of your reply,

F. Pantz
